I listen to this song every morining in the car.The lyrics and Johnny Cash's voice give me goosebumps. Sure as the sun will rise tommorow ,I'll get butterflies everytime I hear the Boulder Colorado verse. The entire last verse makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Exactly what I feel. I am hearing it now for the upteenth time and everytime it also gives me goose bumps. For me, ever since I've heard it somewhere in the past this song is America - at it's best, whatever that is.
By the way, I forgot: I also don't like country, but I am in love with Lucinda Williams.
